Over 1 million people in New Jersey, including 1 in six children, are food insecure. Here are a few ways you can help:

Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty (32 Valley Road, Montclair, NJ 07042) is once again partnering with Move For Hunger, a national non-profit organization, to host a food drive from August 1-September 30. Non-perishable food items will be collected. Last year’s drive resulted in nearly 50,000 lbs of food being collected for our neighbors in need.

Through the support of companies like Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, Move For Hunger can continue to help the nearly 50 million Americans struggling to find their next meal.

Toni’s Kitchen (73 S Fullerton Avenue, Montclair) is always in need of food donations.  See their current food needs here. They accept donations on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 9 am– 1 pm and Sundays 4 – 6:00 pm.

Human Needs Food Pantry (9 Label Street, Montclair) always excepts donations, but could use help now as donations are lower in the summer. They are open every Tuesday and Thursday morning for drop-offs, as well as Saturday, August 13, from 10 am – 12 pm for donations.
