Toni’s Kitchen received a wonderful donation in mid-August from the Liberty Academy school garden in Bloomfield.  Liberty Academy is a program at Bloomfield High School that is located at Bloomfield College.  Jorge Carvalho, a science teacher at the Academy and Michael Palmieri, an Adjunct Professor at Bloomfield College, donated a big portion of fresh vegetables for our guests.  Jorge has been working with an organization called Green Hearts to work on the garden, which is all-organic.  He uses the garden to teach students horticulture and science.

We are grateful to be the beneficiary of the hard work of these dedicated gardeners!
